MaryVery informative and an easy read
This book says it all about youth sports and how it can affect the development and growth of a child's attitude toward sports and life in so many ways. As an elementary school secretary and mother of two sons who were very small for their age I understand how difficult and emotional it is to watch your child develop both physically and psychologically when other parents constantly remark about their small stature. I will say that by the time I finished the book I was reflecting on my own parenting during that crucial time during their development as future adults. We didn't do a bad job but had plenty of room for improvement. I will recommend this book to parents who have children interested in any sports program.
Elvis FanWell written Eye-Opener!
This is an intelligent and eye opening novel about the trouble some young non-athletes or even star athletes go through. It also shows how childhood memories can influence us as adults. As written in the book "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." You will enjoy this book as well as many other books written by Fred Engh! Worth more than the minimal purchase price...just in life lessons. Well done Mr. Engh!!!
